James Tuel, O.D.
Dr. Tuel is a native of Joliet. He attended Joliet Central High School and Joliet Jr. College. After receiving an A.S. from JJC, he went to the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where he graduated with a bachelors degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana.
Dr. Tuel has been in private practice for 12 years.

Tracy Singer, Office Manager
Tracy has worked for Dr. Tuel for 6.5 years, and has been in the optical business for the last twelve years. She is our office manager, and is a certified optician. She is also our frame expert, and selects frames to compliment our patient's life styles and needs.

Pam Wojtysiak, Documentation Manager
Pam has worked for Dr. Tuel for almost 8 years. She is in charge of our accounts receivable, patient insurance benefits and medical records scanning. She is a delight to work with.

Sabrina Foss, Patient Benefit Coordinator
Sabrina has worked for Dr. Tuel for 3 years. She has been in the optical business for almost 10 years. She is our front desk patient coordinator.

Michelle Young, Paraoptometric Technician
Michelle is paraoptometric technician for the office. She has now worked with Dr. Tuel for two years. She is very efficient and enjoys working with each patient. She is especially good with children, and is able to make them feel comfortable and relaxed.

Malav Shah, Optician ABOC
Malav has been with AFEC for 3 years. Previously, he was an optician in London for four years. He is very knowledgeable and fashion forward, and is always willing to help patient's find the eyewear that best fits their personality and lifestyle.

Maribeth Lumb
Maribeth is the newest member of our family at AFEC. Maribeth has years of experience in the optical field. She is qualified in pre-testing, contact lens insertion and removal training and selling and dispensing eyewear.
